In your ELA Notebook, write your new spelling list. Title the page "Spelling List Week 29". Write them 3 times each.

Reread the passages for cited evidence you plan on including in your essay body paragraphs.

Now that your Hamburger Packet is complete, begin writing your Rough Draft on the provided "Rough Draft" paper.

Introduction paragraph: In academic writing, it sets up your argument and tells the reader what to expect. The main goals of an introduction are to: Catch your reader's attention. Gives background on your topic. Body paragraph: The middle paragraphs between your introduction and concluding paragraph. A good paragraph should contain at least the following four elements: Transition, Topic sentence, specific Evidence and analysis, and a Brief wrap-up sentence Conclusion paragraph: The conclusion paragraph is the last paragraph of your essay. It should begin by restating your thesis, and then you should broaden back out to a general topic. End with a closing statement. Transition words: Key words in which create powerful links between ideas in your paper and can help your reader understand the logic of your paper. |
